Write@YA Episode 7: Building a World Worth Reading

When it’s fully realized, a setting can feel like a character. It can draw in the reader, it can have its own dramatic arc, it can make the whole story come alive and make a person never want to leave it.

So it’s good to get it right. Or, as right as possible, as early in the drafting process as possible. With that in mind we talk this week about some of our favorite approaches for writing unforgettable, immersive settings, and we also share our favorite worlds from work spanning a number of genres.
